Plan the path of each leaf
A swing gate needs space throughout its opening arc. The survey should show the actual hinge position, leaf length, parking position and pedestrian route. A pair of leaves shares the opening width, but that alone does not establish safe vehicle clearance.

Check gradients and boundaries
Rising ground can conflict with the swing path. The installer must assess levels and the way a released leaf can move under gravity or wind. A different motor does not remove a geometry problem.

Choose the gate and automation together
Compare material, infill, supports and exposure alongside the proposed drive. Above-ground and underground operators have different installation and maintenance requirements. Ask for the product model and the basis for the proposed arrangement.
Include access controls, protective measures, completed-system checks and manual-release training in the scope. Keep the written user and maintenance instructions after handover.
